Hannah Sine- February 2021-P&SCo Featured Contributor

Pretty and Smart Co. readers please meet Hannah Sine. Hannah is our newest contributor here at P&S Co. and we are loving all that she has been sharing so far. You might have seen her piece “It’s Okay to Not Always Have it Figured Out” recently (one of our personal favourites), you probably saw her super delicious shortbread cookie recipe too. To kick off February as this month’s featured contributor check out what Hannah has shared with us below to get to know her a little better.

Without further ado, meet Hannah Sine:

Nicknames:

Banana or Hannie

Zodiac sign:

Virgo

Where do you live and what do you do?

Currently living in Waterloo, ON and looking for full-time opportunities in either Communications or Event Management.

What makes you feel pretty and smart/what does it mean to you?

To me, being pretty and smart goes beyond much more than the actual definition of each word. To me, being pretty and smart is being confident and authentic in who you are, someone who is confident in their morals, but also someone who always seizes an opportunity to continue to learn and grow as a person.

One piece of advice to your younger self:

Don’t overthink and let silly little things steal your happiness or keep you from taking more risks.

Who would you say is your biggest role model or icon (fashion, career, fitness, personal or otherwise):

I have many people I look up to for inspiration and guidance, but I would have to say my younger sister is my biggest role model. Watching her be on the front lines of this pandemic has been both challenging and inspiring. Her confident and fearless attitude is something I’ve always admired about her, and am proud to call her my sister.

What you’re reading/watching/listening to:

My latest reads were Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and The Return by Nicholas Sparks. I am patiently waiting for the Bridgerton novels to become available in paperback so I can fuel my love for the show by reading the series before the second season comes out!

Recently finished watching New Girl on Netflix, and just finished the first season of  Supernatural on Amazon Prime.

Currently listening to the album Dangerous: The Double Album by Morgan Wallen. My favourite songs off this album are Sand In My Boots and Cover Me Up.

Favourite thing in your closet right now?

My Offline Sherpa Vest from Aerie – comfiest and softest piece of clothing I own!

Next place you hope to travel to (near or far)?

Lots of places, but if I had to choose, my top three would be:

  1. Switzerland
  2. Hawaii
  3. Ireland
Best word to describe you and why?

Caring.

I genuinely care about people and always want the best for them, but more specifically, I truly care about those closest to me. Personally, I am everyone’s biggest cheerleader, support system, and someone you can depend on, always.

What is your fitness or wellness routine?

So far this year I’ve been able to maintain a steady workout schedule of about 3-4 times a week, which includes a combination of cardio and weight lifting. I usually find inspiration for my workouts on Instagram or Pinterest, and then piece different parts of the workouts together to create my own.

My wellness routine consists of getting into the habit of washing my face every morning and night, and doing a face mask two times a week. Also, trying to drink more water everyday is on my list of things to do on the daily!

What is your favorite thing to write about?

I would have to say anything in regards to lifestyle and wellness. When I get an opportunity to write a post that falls into this category I find it almost therapeutic. I am able to reflect on situations I’ve been through, share tips and tricks that have helped me, and also research and educate myself on new content that readers of Pretty & Smart Co. may want to read.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Anything with peanut butter.

Favourite quote:

“Just keep swimming”

Dory, Finding Nemo

What is your favourite piece you’ve written for PSCO?

My most recent article “It’s Okay to Not Always Have It Figured Out”  I am really proud of how it came together!

Where can people find you online? What is your handle?
