Fall is the best season to curl up and watch TV.
That means it’s time for my fall watch (and rewatch) list. Full disclosure I have to watch a lot these shows alone because this is NOT my husband’s style. That is totally on him though because I have great taste, just watch and see. Curl up (husbands/boyfriends optional) but definitely grab your favourite snack and enjoy the show.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
I watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Prime. I quickly got through two seasons and am so excited for December when the season three finally comes out. This series is a dramedy set in 1959 New York City where Mrs. Maisel is anything but a typical housewife living in the Upper West Side. Seriously, find out for yourself but prepare to be amazed. Fun fact Mrs. Maisel is played by Rachel Brosnahan the niece of the late fashion designer Kate Spade. This is a MUST watch for anyone with a sense of humour.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
A classic that I seriously cannot get enough of. I probably know every word but I can never get sick of this flick. I watch this movie at least twice a year. If you haven’t watched it yet it is an Audrey Hepburn rom com based off of Truman Capote’s 1958 novella. Audrey is iconic in her role as Holly Golightly, everyone should have this on their watch list. There is nothing I love more than to grab a coffee and croissant on Sunday morning and watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Jane the Virgin.
I watched Jane the Virgin on Netflix, it is 100 episodes of telenovela drama, love stories and family dysfunction. I wasn’t sure I was going to love it right away but after a few episodes I was hooked. This series is sure to make you laugh, keep you on the edge of your seat all the while breaking your heart. It should definitely be on your watch list if you are into light, cheesy, laughs and love.
Gossip Girl
What better way to celebrate that Gossip Girl is making a comeback than rewatching everyone’s favourite girls rule the Upper East Side. Blair Waldorf, funny enough is actually loosely based off of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s … I guess I have a type. You can watch GG on Netflix but I like everyone with good taste still has every season on DVD.
Dynasty
This is a reboot of the 1980’s soap opera and to be honest it took me a few episodes to get into this one … the acting gets better I promise. The main character Fallon is a billionaire energy executive, cut throat #bossbabe who does not take no for an answer. I watched this on Netflix but it also plays on the CW network.
Well that is it for my fall watch (and rewatch) list. I hope you found something to watch tonight on Netflix (chill is optional). If you are looking for something to snack on while you watch check out Ana’s recipe Black Bean Brownies (No flour!).
