Spring might almost be here, but it’s still cold enough to make you want to curl up with a good show or movie. That’s why I’ve compiled the perfect list of shows to watch while we wait for the warmer weather to come (and those longer days). I’ve also provided my recommendations of the perfect food and drink pairings to go with it, you’re welcome. * BONUS * You can also use this list for your next date night or movie/tv marathon.
Disney Plus
WandaVision
You don’t need to be into the marvel universe to love this soon to be cult classic. If you love sitcoms with a dash of superheroes then this show is for you. It follows Wanda and Vision, a couple who recently move to a small suburban town. Although, they begin to suspect that something is wrong beneath the surface. This nine episode season is sure to have you on your toes and not wanting to stop watching for a second. Pair this show with cider (apple would be my preference) and a thin crust wood oven pizza.
Netflix
Bridgerton
If you haven’t already seen this show you’re a little late to the game. Good news though, it’s so good many people are watching it again. Based on a popular book series during the regency era of England, it follows the powerful siblings from the Bridgerton family. The first season focuses on Daphne Bridgerton and let’s just say its a season you don’t want to miss. Full of heartwarming and earth shatter moments, you’ll finish this in a weekend. Pair this show with a glass of pinot and a charcuterie board.
A Nice Girl Like You
If you’re looking for a romantic comedy that’s perfect for date night, A Nice Girl Like You is perfect. It follows Lucy Neal, a violinist who’s recently been dumped by her boyfriend for being too inhibited. To prove she’s not what he claims, she creates a to-do list that sets her on a journey of self-discovery. This movie is perfectly paired with rum and coke with a side of hot wings.
Ginny & Georgia
New to Netflix this show is bursting with laugh out loud moments and some heart wrenching ones too, so grab your tissues. Ginny and Georgia follow a single mom and her two kids Ginny and Austin as they move looking for a fresh start. However, they soon realize that a fresh start doesn’t always go the way you want. Perfect for any age group, this show will leave you wanting more. Pair this show with popcorn, sourmelon SmartSweets and moscow mule.
Prime Video
Flack
Every wonder who’s behind the scenes of every celebrity slip up cleaning up the mess? Then you need to watch Flack on Prime Video. Flack follows a public relations professional, Robyn, who always helps to ensure her celebrity clients stay out of the headlines. Watch all the drama unfold as she tries to navigate her career and personal life. This show is best paired with some chardonnay and sushi.
I hope that this watch list helps you stay warm and cozy, while you wait for warmer weather. If you need some cozy outfits to keep you warm, I recommend checking out Cass’s post on cozy loungewear pieces. If you’ve already seen all these, you should check out our PSCO March book club pick.
