Hey, Canadians! Have you started your holiday shopping yet? Here are three fun and easy ways to save while shopping online IN CANADA. Don’t you always hate when you go to check your cart out and there is no shipping to Canada?! Listen up all of my Canadian ladies, I have got you covered.
Remember the TLC show “Extreme Couponing?” Well, I am a pro couponer and great at finding a deal. If you don’t feel like spending hours clipping coupons let me show you some fast and easy ways to extreme coupon and coupon “stack” in Canada right from the comfort of your own home.
Here are my top three tips for saving cash on your holiday shopping.
1. Honey
Honey is awesome! It is like having an extreme couponer with you every time you online shop. Simply click here, make an account and download the Chrome plug-in.
Every time you online shop, the plug-in will scan for coupons AND insert them into the code section at checkout.
It gets even better! Even if there aren’t any online coupons available for your product you will still get Honey money (called ”gold”). That “gold” ads up and can be traded in for REAL GIFT CARDS!
I always chose Amazon gift cards!
2. Rakuten
To make my free Amazon gift cards go even further, I log into Rakuten before I do any online shopping. Rakuten is simple and very user-friendly.
First, make a free account. Canadians can click here and American’s can create an account here. Then, before I do ANY online shopping, I log in to Rakuten, quickly search for the store and then go through their website to get to Amazon.ca (or whatever store I am shopping in).
Each store (and often different department in big stores like Amazon) will have a different amount of cashback for every purchase you make. Rakuten has partnered with so many stores and websites that I pretty much get cash-back on everything I purchase– even my contact lenses. It’s even more exciting when they have special deals and promotional days. As I am writing this, they are having a one-day promotion where you can get 14% back at a particular store.
What do you do with the cash you get back? I chose the put the money directly into my Paypal account! So at this point, I am getting cash back on the free money I got from HONEY! Even if you have a cash-back credit card, you can still get cash-back on through Rakuten and Swagbucks. Let me explain Swagbucks next!
3. Swagbucks
Last, but certainly not least, we have Swagbucks. I have been a member for over a decade. Swagbucks is a great way to earn free gift cards. You can also earn by playing games, watching videos, and finding their daily Swagcode. This is great if you have a boring desk job or are at home on maternity leave because you can earn Swagbucks by more than just using it as an online shopping portal.
