Welcome. I am spilling the tea on more trendy clothing items for fall and winter. Are you ready? I hope so, because I have prepared a pretty lengthy list.
Jackets
The sherpa jacket is very trendy right now. This type of jacket is great for fall. It adds a shaggy and rustic vibe to any outfit. I think it is great to wear for casual days when you are grabbing a coffee, or doing something cute like apple picking. The style of the jacket pairs great with jeans and booties or even sneakers. Some great options can be found at Revolve. My overall favourite find though, is the Ruby Jacket in the colour “Stone” from Free People.
Everyone loves a good leather jacket. They always give off an edgy yet sophisticated vibe. Some of my favourite leather jackets come from Zara. I recommend the Leather Biker Jacket TRF. Personally, I think this jacket pairs very well with jeans and booties for a night out. Or, it can be worn comfortably with joggers, running shoes and a beanie for errands. I like the detailing on this jacket because it means that you can keep things fairly simple with the rest of the accessories and outfit. I find the quality to be excellent, because it seems heavy duty and yet still very comfortable.
Another type of jacket that I recommend is the TNA THE SUPER PUFF Shorty from Aritzia. This sits right above the waistline and isn’t too puffy or overbearing like other bubble jackets. It is very easy to throw on. I ordered this jacket in a matte black, but I have loved seeing it in the high-gloss finish. I think the high-gloss finish will still be a fabulous look again this year. The gloss adds some flare and something fun. I believe that you cannot go wrong. It can be styled the same way as the leather jacket mentioned above.
Speaking of leather, you will see that leather shirts, skirts and dresses are also all the rage this year. I am finding a lot of leather dresses that are long sleeve, in black and stop right above the knee. I think that they look lovely paired with a black tight underneath for extra warmth. Check this one out from TopShop for inspiration.
Sweaters
Next, we are talking sweaters. I really like to tuck them into my jeans or leather pants on one side. Some sweaters that I recommend are:
Another popular trend this year is fringe. I think that fringe can look really cute and stylish when incorporated onto a sweater. Sweaters with fringe detailing can be then paired with jeans and booties for a complete look. Some great sites to find sweaters with fringe are: Revolve, H&M and Nordstrom. I am loving the simplicity of a cream or white colour for this kind of item.
TurtleNecks
To me, not only are turtlenecks cozy, but they add some elegance to any outfit. This Wilfred Belize Turtleneck in the Foxfire Brown is lovely when paired with a leather pant. Wear it to an art gallery, dinner date, or any holiday gathering.
Vagabond Booties
A black bootie with a pointed toe really can elevate any outfit. I highly recommend purchasing this type of shoe from Vagabond. I find their shoes to be of high quality.
Women’s Marja Toe Ankle Boots in Black
I like this boot in particular that is linked above because I love the detail on the toe and side. Also, the heel is not that high which is another bonus to me, especially when walking through leaves and muddy grounds. Because these shoes are sturdy, I feel like my feet are always warm due to the great material, which is necessary. They give a Western and Bohemian vibe which can be dressed up or down.
The Pouch Bag
A major trend right now, is the leather pouch bag. One that I particularly love, is the Pleated Leather Shoulder Bag from Zara, in a soft and light brown. It is a great size and works really well with many different outfits. I like to wear it during the day, on errands, to the office and to brunch or lunch with friends.
For a night out, I am liking the Soft Clasp Mini Crossbody Bag in black. It is smaller in size, but very classy looking. The way it clasps breaks it up into two different compartments. Ladies, if you find yourself struggling to find your car keys in your purse because they have fallen into what seems like a constant bottomless pit of lipgloss, chapstick, gum, snacks, etc. this helps.
Have you been seeing these trendy items for fall and winter on social media just as much as I have? Whenever I see what is trending, I take a screenshot and add it to my list. However, I feel like my list is never getting shorter. I could probably write endless amounts of posts on fabulous clothing items, it’s bad. Anyways, I hope this helped you narrow down what you want to add to your cart this fall.
Oh and check out one of our latest posts on freezer fudge, I am going to attempt to make some soon!
