I’m here to share with you what I’m wearing this season. For those of you who sometimes ask me for suggestions on where to shop, or which items I am loving at the moment, this one’s for you.
If you know me well, then you know that I love to wear neutrals (especially black!!). I have done this for years now. Neutrals are clean, sophisticated, classy and put-together, all at once, with minimal effort. With that being said, the current fashion trends for autumn are so exciting. At the moment, we are seeing black blazers, leather pants, knits, chunky boots, vests and more, coming into play. I just have to share the pieces that I bought recently, they are so great! Let’s not waste any more time..
Tops
First, if you’re wanting to follow the vest trend, but aren’t quite sure where to start, then I have the perfect one to recommend. Personally, I find that some vests are too long, itchy, baggy and unflattering. With the process of trial and error, I have finally found the right vest to start with! It’s the Basic Knit Vest from ZARA. Purchasing this option in black and pairing it with dress pants or jeans has been really easy for me. You also can’t go wrong with the price.

Pants
Now, onto pants. Someone probably already told you about the Melina Pant from Aritzia, but just in case you haven’t heard of this pant before, run – don’t walk. This pant pairs perfectly with t-shirts and sweaters. From what I have heard from others, and as well as from my own experience, don’t size down. Stick to your normal size. These pants are an investment and are sure to last you for years.
As for jeans, I’m loving the white jean and converse look. I am not sure about you, but I stopped following the “no white after labour day” rule, quite some time ago. My favourite white jean is from Aritzia and it is The Boyfriend High Rise Loose 28L option. They look great with a slight rolled-up cuff, paired with some high-tops.
Outerwear
Moving along! I have this jacket pictured above in black and brown. It is the Pelli Shirt Jacket from Aritzia. This piece is great because it can be worn during the day with jeans, or at night when you are wearing something a bit fancier. It provides an elevated and edgy look without being too bulky. I suggest going in the store to try this on, as I had to size down quite a bit.
Shoes
It is obvious that white running shoes and sneakers have been popular. My favourite pair at the moment is linked here from New Balance. They go so well with loungewear, jeans, and suits. The best part is, they are extremely comfy. I’d act fast as they have been in high demand.
We’re also seeing loafers a lot. Well, I’m not sure about you, but I have seen the Prada loafers all over my feed. For a cheaper dupe, I like the Women’s Modern Loafer by Everlane. The material is very sturdy and the shoe overall is simple. They are a lovely option to wear to work with dress pants, or to a nice restaurant during the day with jeans!
Next, we have leather boots. I really like the current trend which is not a short bootie, but one that is not too high either. They are being posted by many influencers on Instagram lately. They pair with blazers quite well. I found the perfect Leather Ankle Boots on ZARA.
Accessories
My favourite accessory right now, is a ball cap. When you’re running errands and it’s a bit damp outside, this has you covered. I found a great adjustable option on Amazon for a wonderful price, in black, that I am wearing a lot. It is linked here.
